Amazon Web Services
AWS re:Invent 2025 Public Sector
THE CLIENT
Amazon Web Services (AWS) [link to: https://aws.amazon.com/ ] is the world’s leading cloud computing platform, providing on-demand infrastructure, data, and AI services that enable organizations to build, scale, and innovate. It supports businesses across industries with secure, reliable, and highly scalable digital solutions.
AWS re:Invent is Amazon Web Services’s annual flagship global conference in Las Vegas, NV where cloud, AI, and technology leaders gather to unveil major product innovations, share technical expertise, and explore the future of digital transformation. It brings together developers, executives, and partners through keynotes, sessions, and hands-on learning experiences.
THE CHALLENGE
The Amazon Web Services Public Sector Team set out to design a cohesive and engaging experience for the Industry Pavilion at AWS re:Invent 2025, reaching audiences across Education (K–12, Higher Ed, and Research) and Government (Federal, State, and Local). Their challenge was to translate complex solutions and real-world customer stories into an experience that was clear, interactive, and visually impactful for a broad and diverse audience.
THE SOLUTION
AWS partnered with 900lbs to design and deliver three dynamic interactive experiences for the Public Sector Industry Expo, bringing AWS innovation to life for audiences across Education and Government.
At the heart of the experience was an Interactive 3D Touch Table, featuring a 3D cityscape that attendees could explore on a 4K touchscreen. By selecting buildings and hotspots, visitors uncovered how AWS powers everyday services across Education and State & Local Government. Each interaction launched a short video vignette highlighting success stories and use cases.
Complementing the touch table, three Kiosk Microsite Demos delivered tailored experiences for Education, Federal Government, and State & Local Government audiences. Built as a single, scalable HTML web application with three distinct microsites, the solution provided a consistent, self-guided journey designed for both technical and business leaders. Easily deployable at live events and shareable with sales teams and customers, the microsites extended the impact of the exhibit beyond the show floor.
Each microsite featured:
- The Challenge: Industry-specific pain points supported by key data and statistics
- Explore the Demo & Learn More: Recorded video demos, architecture diagrams, one-pager presentations, and QR-linked customer stories
Within the booth, AWS Public Sector showcased their Modular Data Center (MDC), a portable, self-contained data center solution created by Amazon Web Services to deliver cloud infrastructure in locations where traditional data centers are impractical or unavailable. We highlighted the MDC through an immersive, tablet-based Augmented Reality experience that brought this portable cloud solution to life. Attendees explored the MDC features, such as integrated compute, storage, networking, and power and cooling systems, by scanning physical markers that triggered layered animations and interactive content. The journey culminated in hands-on mission simulations, allowing visitors to compare MDC performance against a centralized data center and clearly see the real-world impact of edge-based cloud processing.
THE RESULTS
At AWS re:Invent 2025, Amazon Web Services delivered a cohesive, immersive Public Sector pavilion experience that combined interactive kiosks, AR demos, and microsites into a powerful storytelling platform. The activation showcased real-world customer solutions and the impact of AWS cloud and generative AI for government and education, while establishing a scalable, reusable framework to support future events with flexible navigation and modular content.
